(Vocus) May 19, 2010 -- ANY LAB TEST NOW®, the first direct-access lab testing franchise company with over 100 locations nationwide, announced today the launch of 5 Infectious Disease panels that will help doctors and consumers definitively and accurately diagnose multiple viral and bacterial pathogens in a single test with next day results.

Through its partnership with DIATHERIX Laboratories, these panels are analyzed using the world’s only Multiplex Differential Diagnosis (MDD) Target-Enriched Multiplexing Polymerase Chain Reaction (Tem-PCR) testing service, a clinically-accepted and DNA-based procedure that is more accurate, faster and comprehensive. Tem-PCR is the first diagnostic tool introduced to the clinical market that can identify multiple pathogens, detect co-infections and determine genetic drug resistance in a single result.

“What these new products offer to doctors and consumers is simple. They get more information and faster identification of what’s causing the illness - bacterial or viral - so they can be treated faster,” said Joe Neely, chief executive officer of ANY LAB TEST NOW®. “By making panels like these affordable and accessible throughout the country, consumers can take better control of their health and work hand-in-hand with their doctors to determine an effective treatment plan.”

The 5 Infectious Disease Panels available at ANY LAB TEST NOW® without insurance, a doctor’s order or an appointment include:

1. Infectious Disease Panel ($549)
Tests for 16 of the most common wound-causing pathogens including E. coli, Staph and many more. In addition, this panel can determine any genetic drug-resistances by the pathogen.

2. Gastrointestinal Panel ($399)
This panel can determine whether or not customers have food poisoning caused by E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria, Clostridium difficile or any other serious bacterial infection in the intestines. It also tests for Clostridium difficile toxin B gene; Campylobacter jejuni; Staphylococcus aureus; Vibrio cholerae; and Vibrio parahaemolyticus.

3. Respiratory Infection Panel ($549)
This is the only panel that tests for 26 viral and bacterial pathogens in the same panel including H1N1-09 – the influenza pandemic strain known as the “Swine Flu.” This is the only test authorized by the FDA under the Emergency Use Authorization.

4. Viral Respiratory Panel ($399)
This panel tests for viral pathogens including H1N1-09 and other viral pathogens with similar symptoms. This is the only test authorized by the FDA under the Emergency Use Authorization.

5. Staphylococcus Differentiation Panel ($199)
This is the only panel available to differentiate MSRA from other types of dangerous Staph infections.

Each infectious disease panel includes a specimen collection performed by a certified medical assistant at ANY LAB TEST NOW locations conveniently located in retail areas in communities throughout the United States. With convenient operating hours including Saturdays, customers are in-and-out in 10 minutes or less and receive their test results in the method they choose within 24-48 hours.
