AMERIGROUP Names Linda Whitley-Taylor as Executive Vice President, Associate Services

her international experience, Whitley-Taylor has significant expertise in talent development and people strategy initiatives and is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. In her role with AMERIGROUP, she will report directly to Carlson as a member of the Company's senior executive team.

Stredler and Mellon enter newly created positions. Stredler reports to Stanley F. Baldwin, AMERIGROUP Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Mellon reports to John E. Littel, Executive Vice President, External Relations.

"Jeff Stredler and Bill Mellon both are outstanding professionals and veteran leaders who have distinguished themselves within their areas of expertise," Carlson said. As Senior Vice President, Senior Litigation Counsel, Stredler will be responsible for assisting the Company with legal matters. Prior to joining AMERIGROUP, he was a partner at the law firm of Williams Mullen, where he served as co-chair of litigation for the firm's Norfolk, Va., office. In 2006, Stredler was named one of Virginia's "Super Lawyers" by Virginia Super Lawyer magazine. In 2006 and 2007, he was recognized among the "Legal Elite" by Virginia Business magazine. Stredler received both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from the University of Virginia.

As Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, Mellon will oversee all aspects of the Company's communications efforts, reaching not only its 4,200 employees and more than 1.7 million members, but also the additional audiences increasingly relying on AMERIGROUP as a leader in the field of caring for the financially vulnerable, seniors and people with disabilities.
