AMERIGROUP Corporation to Host Investor Day

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AMERIGROUP Corporation (NYSE: AGP) will host an Investor Day on Friday, September 21, 2007. The event will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. The Company will webcast the presentations with the AMERIGROUP management team, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

The event's featured speaker is Lex Frieden, who is Convener of AMERIGROUP's National Advisory Board on Improving Healthcare Services for Seniors and People with Disabilities. Mr. Frieden has been working on behalf of people with disabilities since the early 1970's and was instrumental in conceiving the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act. He is Professor of Health Informatics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Senior Vice President at Memorial Hermann|TIRR rehabilitation hospital.
