AIMS Benefit Solutions Offering Long-Term Care Insurance Featuring CASH-First(TM) from United of Omaha

MONTGOMERY, Ala., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- AIMS Benefit Solutions announces the availability of United LTCi Solutions from United of Omaha, a Mutual of Omaha company. This new United of Omaha product portfolio offers a variety of products to suit producer's sales needs - all of which offer the built-in CASH-First(TM) Advantage feature, a cash benefit that provides cash on the first day of qualified need with no elimination period.

Unlike many long-term care insurance policies that reimburse expenses incurred for specific types of care such as licensed facility care or home care provided by a licensed agency, the CASH-First(TM) benefit can be used for anything, including family travel expenses, lost income for caregivers, housekeeping services or other out-of-pocket costs. Clients choose between traditional reimbursement or CASH-First(TM).

"With 80 percent of care provided at home by informal caregivers, CASH-First(TM) offers freedom and flexibility," said Randy Mousel, Vice President, Mutual of Omaha. "Additionally, an immediate cash benefit helps ensure the product will remain relevant in the future with the changing health care industry."

Other plan features include:

  • Guaranteed Upgrade Option - Clients who elect inflation protection less than the traditional 5 percent compound can increase their inflation benefits once each policy year. (Not to exceed 5 percent.)
  • Flex-Pay - Offers flexibility in how the premium is paid. Clients can choose to pay less in early policy years and more later with all premiums paid up by age 85.
  • Modified Guaranteed Issue on Multi-Life Products - The new LTCi Solutions portfolio includes a small group program, which offers discounted premiums for groups as small as three employees. The product offers three underwriting classes, including Modified Guaranteed Issue with just three health questions.
