Silicon Valley (PRWEB) January 04, 2013

AGNITY Healthcare, a global provider of secure contextual communications and collaborations solutions to healthcare providers and payers, announced that it has teamed up with Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) to offer a unique healthcare-centric solution that enables broadband and wireless communications service providers to deliver revenue-generating services for the rapidly growing mobile healthcare market.

AGNITY Healthcare and Alcatel-Lucent will demonstrate MobileCare™ at the 2013 International CES event in Las Vegas, NV from January 8-11, 2013 in the Alcatel-Lucent booth #31412.

AGNITY’s MobileCare™, the industry’s first secure mobile contextual communication and collaboration solution for healthcare, will utilize Alcatel-Lucent’s New Conversation APIs, a powerful set of rich APIs providing easy access to communications capabilities in service providers’ IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), the infrastructure that sits at the heart of 4G LTE and IP networks. The following value-added features are enabled by MobileCare™ and the New Conversation APIs.

1.    Rich Call – Utilizes Call History, Contact List & Presence and Call Control APIs
2.    Communications Enabled Business Process (CEBP) – Utilizes Contact List & Presence and Call Control APIs
3.    Call Diversion to Covering Providers – Utilizes Call Direction API

MobileCare™ is a state-of-the-art client based workflow optimization solution with integrated messaging, voice, video, alerts, notifications, presence, location, and intelligent call routing that improves clinician-to-clinician and clinician-to-patient communications in a way that saves time, money and lives. It encompasses an easy-to-use, intuitive user interface that is tailored for clinicians and can be deployed on popular smartphones and tablet devices. MobileCare™ is built on AGNITY’s scalable and carrier applications platform that has been widely deployed by carriers globally.

“The mHealth market is expected to be a multi-billion dollar market as healthcare providers seek ways to solve their communications and collaboration challenges which has led to increased costs and lower quality of care”, said Ken Epps, President of AGNITY Healthcare. “We are excited to collaborate with Alcatel-Lucent to enable service providers to monetize their 4G LTE networks by delivering value-added healthcare-centric secure mobile contextual communications and collaboration solutions that addresses the needs of today’s hospitals and physician groups.”
