AED.com Donates Zoll AED Plus to American Legion Post 375
Date:9/19/2013

Brentwood, TN (PRWEB) September 19, 2013

American Legion Post 375 in Mukwonago, Wisconsin is now home to a Zoll AED Plus thanks to a donation from AED.com. The Legion Post supports local veterans in a number of ways including hosting Camp American Legion in northern Wisconsin. The camp allows elderly and disabled veterans to partake in fishing, boating, enjoying hiking trails specially designed for wheelchairs, and other activities in which they would not normally be able to enjoy without the assistance of volunteers.

American Legion Post 375 also sponsors monthly events including meals and bingo for veterans who live in various veteran homes and the VA hospital as an effort to venture outside of their hospital or care facility and interact with fellow veterans. The Mukwonago Post additionally sponsors Boy Scout Troop 363.

The donated Zoll AED Plus will be officially presented at an American Legion Regional Meeting on October 1st. However, the AED has already arrived at its new home, and members of Post 375 and Troop 363 have already begun to learn about the importance and value of the device. AEDs have been found to increase cardiac arrest victims' survival rates from about 5-7% even with CPR to at least 40%.

Ron Amero initially contacted Zoll Medical on the American Legion Post's behalf. Zoll coordinated with AED.com, a licensed distributor of Zoll products, to procure the donation. Amero expressed his deep gratitude for Zoll's commitment to veterans and AED.com's donation. Moriah Lutz-Tveite, Marketing Production Coordinator for AED.com, states, "It is so wonderful to donate an AED to an organization like American Legion Post 375. They are unique in that they serve both veterans and Boy Scouts, and we know that cardiac arrest doesn't discriminate by age."

AED.com sells and services both new and recertified AEDs. The company is located in Brentwood, TN and serves over 20,000 customers in all 50 states and over 40 countries worldwide. For more information, please visit: http://www.aed.com/.
