AED Superstore and En-Pro Team Up to Provide Total Comprehensive, Tailored AED Programs
Date:5/13/2009

SHREVEPORT, La. and WOODRUFF, Wis., May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- En-Pro Inc., the leading provider of automated external defibrillator (AED) Programs, and Allied 100, LLC (dba AED Superstore), the world's largest AED source, announce a strategic partnership to help customers deliver complete tailored AED Management Programs at affordable prices. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.

"En-Pro understands the complexities of implementing a wide range of AED programs, and they guarantee complete program compliance and efficacy," said Jonathan Dobbs, National Sales Manager of AED Superstore. "En-Pro will ensure that our customers' AED programs are compliant so they are fully prepared to help rescuers save lives from day one."

En-Pro offers a total solution from developing a personalized Emergency Response Plan to deployment and ongoing compliance. "Having an effective AED Program in place means an AED is nearby and ready for use, there is a trained responder ready to use it, and they can access it in time to save a life. En-Pro is committed to helping AED Superstore customers - from all walks of life - get their Programs up and running as quickly as possible. We can help provide peace of mind that they are ready when Sudden Cardiac Arrest strikes," explains Dobbs.

Working with En-Pro involves three phases that allow customers to easily break down the process of establishing an effective AED Program on time and on budget.

- The Design Phase

En-Pro works to develop the necessary policies and procedures that fit specific requirements. En-Pro assesses sites to determine how many AEDs are needed, the proper placement, and how many people need to be trained to support them.

En-Pro also reviews respective state legislative and regulatory requirements along with the verification of any local ordinance which may exist to govern AED installation. En-Pro will also provide an implementation schedule which identifies key milestones for completion, including all scheduled training dates to help customers understand the process and communicate that process to internal audiences.

- The Implementation Phase

Once the AEDs arrive on site, in coordination with scheduled training dates, the devices will be registered with PlusTrac(TM) AED Program management application, and with local and state EMS agencies. Since legal requirements can vary by location, with some states requiring a Medical Director in the same state as the facility, En-Pro will ensure proper compliance by providing a medical review of deployment and maintenance procedures.

In addition, En-Pro's PlusLearning, an international organization, helps customers develop a competent staff of trained rescue volunteers. An affiliated training agency of the American Heart Association, PlusLearning offers emergency response certifications in Basic Life Support education. PlusLearning also provides volunteer responders with AHA certified training on how to use an AED, CPR, First-Aid and other life-saving techniques. The PlusLearning Alliance can provide instructors on-site at facilities, whether across the U.S. or worldwide.

- The Maintenance Phase

To ensure ongoing maintenance and compliance, En-Pro offers PlusTrac, a web-based program to better manage and maintain AED Programs. The interactive management tools provide real-time status to program managers along with real-time notification to those who need to take action to keep programs in compliance. This includes tracking expiration dates on the pads and batteries, training status of responder volunteers, and any changes to regulations that may require program modifications.

Program Availability

En-Pro programs are available in one- or five-year increments, with 24/7/365 help-desk support, post-event reporting, and more. For more information online, click here, or call 800-544-0048.
