ACS Awarded $41 Million Contract to Provide IT Outsourcing Services to Parkland Hospital

DALLAS, March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS) announced today that it has been awarded a seven-year, $41 million contract to provide information technology outsourcing (ITO) services to Parkland Health & Hospital System, a Dallas-based public hospital system.

Under the terms of the agreement, ACS will supply comprehensive infrastructure services, including data center operations, network monitoring and management, asset tracking, and help desk support services.

"ACS is a leading provider of ITO services to recognized healthcare systems and teaching hospitals around the world, and our proven solutions give Parkland the scale and flexibility they need to seek new and better ways to serve a growing population," said Charles Bracken, managing director, ACS Healthcare Solutions. ACS will also implement a comprehensive disaster recovery platform that utilizes a network connection to securely store critical Parkland clinical data online. The system replicates backup data directly to the disaster site, reducing Parkland's business recovery time by reliably restoring backup data, while providing the thorough data security required by best business practices and regulatory guidelines.
