ACAAI Endorses Allergies in America Web Site as a Valuable Tool for Physician and Patient Education
Date:4/22/2008

CHICAGO, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) recently announced support of the Allergies in America surveys that highlight the importance of improving care for those who suffer from allergies. These survey findings and other important information for physicians and patients are available today at http://www.myallergiesinamerica.com. We commend companies like Sepracor who are committed to driving the dialogue about unmet needs for patients with allergies.

"With so many patients seeking health information online, the Allergies in America Web site offers a plethora of information about allergic rhinitis," says Jay M. Portnoy, MD, president of the ACAAI. "Improving both patient care and education about allergic rhinitis are primary goals of our organization, which is why we endorse the Allergies in America Web site as an important tool."

The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) is a professional medical organization headquartered in Arlington Heights, Ill., that promotes excellence in the practice of the subspecialty of allergy and immunology. The College, comprising more than 5,000 allergists-immunologists and related health care professionals, fosters a culture of collaboration and congeniality in which its members work together and with others toward the common goals of patient care, education, advocacy and research. Educational information is available on the ACAAI Web site at http://www.acaai.org.
