Date:5/6/2008

System

TAMPA, Fla., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, Inc. (ABQAURP) is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Medical Management System Innovations Conference, which will examine the latest developments in managing individuals with chronic or high-cost conditions. The symposium is scheduled for June 17, 2008, in conjunction with the Case Management Society of America's (CMSA) 18th Annual Conference & Expo.

Joel V. Brill, MD, AGAF CHCQM, conference co-chair, notes "innovation and change are now the 'constant' in medical management. What worked yesterday might not be what the market is demanding today or will need tomorrow. This Conference will provide attendees with a timely update on the evolving transformations in medical and care management."

On June 17th, national health care thought leaders will address:

-- Personalized health care

-- Health care globalization and medical tourism

-- How technology can promote collaborative practice

-- Medical management trends to improve clinical workflow

-- How information technology is changing the practice of case, disease

and utilization management

"In addition, conference attendees will hear about a ground-breaking survey that showcases the latest innovations in health information technology for care, disease and utilization management programs," notes Garry Carneal, JD, conference co-chair. "And on June 18th, ABQAURP and CMSA are offering a second day-long symposium, which will address the transformation of primary care, NCQA's new standards for complex case management, and the health care reform proposals from the presidential candidates. Both symposiums are must attend events for anyone who is interested in learning about the next generation of medical management tools and techniques.
