A New Case Study Demonstrates How Orriant’s Company Wellness Plans Help Maintain a Healthier Lifestyle

Dixon was shocked to see his scale climb to 307 lbs. As reality struck, he committed to make his health a priority. His company had just partnered with Orriant in order to lower employee healthcare costs and improve the overall health of their employees. Dixon realized this would be an opportune time to get on track to a more active lifestyle. Being paired with an Orriant Health Coach, Dixon set goals to eat 3 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, exercise for 30 minutes 3 times a week and drink 100 ounces of water a day. Since Dixon chose to join Orriant’s program, he acquired many wellness incentives including lower monthly premiums and personal health planning.

Dixon’s main health objective was to lose weight, so he turned to his new Orriant Health Coach, Kristen, for assistance. Dixon wanted long lasting results, so Kristen asked him to focus on making important lifestyle changes. Together they set goals of moderate exercise and a healthy diet. Orriant’s company wellness plans are centered on the idea of providing resources that allow people to become engaged in their health, as well as take advantage of the wellness incentives.

Down 27 lbs, Dixon is on a path that leads to a long and active life. He enjoys trying new activities and incorporating them into his daily schedule. “My personality is coming back,” recalls Dixon, “I haven’t had a ‘peppy’ attitude in years, but I can feel it coming back. I want to keep exercising so I can keep my self-esteem high.” The wellness incentives that coincide with his plan are also making Dixon appreciate the benefits of the Orriant program.
