A Four-Vehicle Accident on I-95 Leaves Five People Injured

Following an accident on Interstate 95, five people were rushed to the hospital for treatment. One of the five suffered life-threatening injuries and all five were treated at Broward Health Medical Center reported the Sun Sentinel.

According to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue and the Sun Sentinel article, the accident involved four vehicles on southbound I-95. It happened around 8:50pm at night and all four vehicles sustained heavy damage. All of the southbound lanes were shut down due to the accident and traffic was backed up all the way to Sunrise Boulevard. As the rescue crew cleaned up the mess, they re-opened one lane at a time.

According to the Sun-Sentinel (8.5.2013), the accident happened near Broward Boulevard and caused extensive damage to those involved. The cause of the accident wasn't reported.

"As the facts are gathered, it's possible the victims of this horrific accident are severely injured," says Michael Steinger, a Fort Lauderdale Car Accident Lawyer. "If one of the drivers is ultimately responsible for the accident, he/she will be responsible for the resulting medical expenses and the damage."
