Date:8/14/2014

Concord, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2014

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is proud to announce that 92% of Radiologic Technology program graduates of 2014 passed the ARRT exam on the first attempt.

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is the world’s largest credentialing organization that seeks to ensure high quality patient care in medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy. ARRT tests and certifies technologists and administers continuing education and ethics requirements for the annual registration.

“We are very proud of our graduates’ hard work and determination. This is a tough exam and they passed with flying colors!” said Ted Vanderlaan, Radiologic Technology Program Director of Gurnick Academy.

The length of the RT program is 24 months including preparation for the ARRT exam. The program includes didactic and laboratory training as well as a clinical internship component that correlates with theoretical knowledge. Currently it’s only offered at Concord Campus.

Radiologic Technology Program is accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and approved by the California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch (CDPH-RHB) as a school for radiographers. The program also holds state approval as a fluoroscopy school.
