Date:4/1/2010

5-Hour Energy® is traveling to campuses across the nation to put its energy shot in the hands of college students and challenging them to do good in their community in a campaign called What Would You Do With 5-Hour Energy® To Make a Positive Impact In Your Community?

Farmington Hills, MI (PRWEB) April 1, 2010 -- 5-Hour Energy® is traveling to campuses across the nation to put its energy shot in the hands of college students and challenging them to do good in their community in a campaign called "What Would You Do With 5-Hour Energy® To Make a Positive Impact In Your Community?".

The 5-Hour Energy® college- and community-focused campaign launches the week of March 29 and ends April 2. During the week 5-Hour Energy® will be on 100 U.S. college campuses handing out free samples of the 2 oz. energy shot to help students stay alert during their lectures, labs and stints at the library.

To benefit the community, 5-Hour Energy® is asking students to put their energies toward a community service project and submit their idea on the "What Would You Do With 5-Hour Energy® To Make a Positive Impact In Your Community?" Web site for a chance to win $1,000 to use toward their philanthropic idea.

Student must work with a charitable organization to carry out their community service project. Projects may include volunteering to read to children, cleaning up a city park, executing a fundraising event for a local charity, or gathering a group of their friends to paint a house for someone in need. These are just a few ways students could positively impact their community.

Students can submit their ideas from March 29 - April 28 for a chance to win the $1,000. Finalists will be selected by May 3 and online voting will take place between May 3 and May 14 to narrow the field of finalists. The best proposal will be chosen through a combination of online votes and a panel of judges appointed by 5-Hour Energy®.
