4,000 Registered for Redlands' 2nd Annual Believe and Walk for the Cure
Date:10/1/2009

This is just one of the 50 teams that will be present on Sunday.

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf located in downtown Redlands will hand out free coffee and $5 gift cards to the early birds while Cheer Squads from the local area will be on the route to raise the spirit level and encourage the walkers as they make the trek to the finish line at the Redlands Bowl.

Participants will have the opportunity to do either a 5K or 10K route that was created by the local business ESRI. Walkers taking the extended 10K route will have the benefit of walking through the University of Redlands campus where they will be greeted by the U of R's Jazz Band and service clubs.

At the end of the walk, participants will celebrate at the Believe Bash located at the Redlands Bowl where the local fast food chain, Baker's Drive-Thru has donated Chicken Sandwiches to the first 2,000 walkers. More than 40 vendors will be at the Bash to hand out free items to the participants. In addition, this year a Kids Zone will be offered with face painters, balloon makers and a large slide for the kids. A memorial area called the Tree of Life has also been designated to honor loved ones lost to cancer.

Last year, Stater Bros. established Stater Bros. Charities, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The purpose of Stater Bros. Charities is to give back to the communities Stater Bros.
