3nd Annual ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open Returns to Sea Colony Beach & Tennis Resort in Bethany Beach, Delaware

Sea Colony Beach & Tennis Resort, a professionally managed property by ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals® on Delaware’s Atlantic coast, welcomes the ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony to its award-winning beach and tennis community from Sunday, June 9 through Sunday, June 16, 2013.

The tournament sponsored by ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals and the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA), and will be held at Sea Colony’s highly acclaimed Tennis Center for the third straight year. The tournament will feature some of the sport’s fastest rising female athletes in both singles and doubles competition for a total of $10,000 USD in prize money.

The tournament will begin with the singles qualifying rounds on June 9-10, as the field vies for 8 of 32 main draw spots in the bracket. The main draw will begin Tuesday, June 11, with the doubles final contested on Saturday, June 15, and the singles final on Sunday, June 16. Daily admission to the event is free.

The winner of the 2011 tournament, Lena Litvak from the Bronx, N.Y., returns this year to join the field of over 60 competitors in this year’s event.

As part of the week long festivities, Sea Colony will also host the third annual Player Party at the Edgewater house promenade on Monday, June 10, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, will feature a Junior Play Day at 4:30 p.m. at the Tennis Center and Saturday, June 15 marks USTA Member Appreciation Day. New this year, on Tuesday, June 11, at 4 p.m., former French Open doubles champion Luke Jensen will hold court for a clinic and pro exhibition.
