3D Global Solutions Selected to Program Manage GN ReSound/VA Digital Hearing Aid Contract

3D Global Solutions is pleased to announce that it has been successful in program managing the proposal effort for ReSound who recently received an award on the $800 million VA Digital Hearing Aid contract. The award includes not only the Veterans Administration, but also the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 8, 2009 -- 3D Global Solutions is pleased to announce that it has been successful in program managing the proposal effort for ReSound who recently received an award on the $800 million VA Digital Hearing Aid contract. The base year of the contract commences in November of 2009 with four renewable option years.

The award includes not only the Veterans Administration, but also the Department of Defense and other federal agencies (Also known as Other Government Agencies or OGAs). The VA provides federal benefits to over eight million veterans, their family members and survivors and is the largest purchaser of hearing aids in the United States.

Many of the hearing aids that will be purchased by the VA have a feature for management of a condition called Tinnitus. Tinnitus is currently the number-one service-connected disability of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The Veterans Administration is projected to purchase over 430,000 hearing devices in 2009.
