30th Street Senior Center set-up the Brain Fitness program last month in a partnership with the UCSF School of Nursing, which connects master's level nursing students with various health organizations to conduct on-site internships. Intern Blair Williamson entered nursing with a background in computer science, so he was a perfect fit for the Center's goals of creating a program of this kind, and has played a valuable role in setting up the system.
On Thursday, June 12, Dr. Merzenich will speak at a short program at 10:30am before a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of the computer lab at 30th Street Senior Center. Dr. Merzenich is available for interview after the festivities.
