-Season 4 of NBC's Smash Hit Show Features the bodybugg(TM) System-

SAN RAMON, Calif., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Contestants for the fourth season of NBC's wildly popular unscripted reality series The Biggest Loser will get some high-tech help in their quest to win the $250,000 grand prize, courtesy of 24 Hour Fitness. Participants in this year's weight loss competition will use the bodybugg, an intelligent calorie management system designed to provide consumers with information and tools that can help them reach their ideal weight.

"24 Hour Fitness is proud to once again be associated with The Biggest Loser and bodybugg will play a role in helping contestants reach their weight loss goals," said Carl Liebert III, chief executive officer, 24 Hour Fitness. "Our partnership with The Biggest Loser has inspired many people to transform their lives through nutrition and exercise."

In this year's show, contestants use the bodybugg to track and adjust how many calories they have burned and consumed 24 hours a day. Contestants will download bodybugg data to a web interface that tracks caloric measurements and helps plan daily meals. Bodybugg helps contestants adjust their food intake and activity levels as they seek to achieve their fitness goals.

"24 Hour Fitness is a crucial partner for The Biggest Loser and we are excited to bring bodybugg into this season's competition," said Mark Koops, executive producer, The Biggest Loser. "We're thrilled to show our audience how new technologies, when paired with a comprehensive health maintenance program, can support the achievement of weight loss goals."

For the third season in a row, 24 Hour Fitness is providing The Biggest Loser with a state-of-the-art onsite gym at the ranch where contestants live while competing on the program. 24 Hour Fitness has outfitted the gym with cutting-edge fitness equipment, mats, stability balls, and conditioning bands.
