The 23rd Congress of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) will be held from 28 August to 1 September 2010 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. With more than 150 speakers from 20 countries and 7,000 participants anticipated from all over the world, the ECNP Congress is the largest annual scientific congress on neuropsychopharmacology and mental disorders in Europe.
In more than 35 sessions experts will give insights into the latest achievements and breakthroughs in brain research and neuropsychopharmacology in both preclinical and clinical settings, and discuss the various aspects of pharmacotherapy for patients with mental disorders and their impact on quality of life.
The scientific programme will cover a broad range of topics of major public health interest including, among others:
Educational update sessions will deal with the neurobiology and treatment of compulsivity in addictive behaviour, the interaction of psychotropic drugs with pain mechanisms, and the integration of pain treatment in psychiatric patient care.
