211 San Diego Provides Support to San Diegans in Times of Crisis

Event to Honor Qualcomm CEO

SAN DIEGO, May 11 /PRNewswire/ --

    WHAT:    211 San Diego executives will highlight key initiatives the
             organization is undertaking to make 211 a nationwide service,
             discuss the critical role that 211 plays in the community during
             times of need, and honor community leaders for their support and
             resources at Join Our Journey event.  211 San Diego also will
             recognize the technical assistance and infrastructure support of
             Qualcomm and the Company's chairman and CEO, Dr. Paul E. Jacobs.

             The 5th annual 211 San Diego event honors key community players
             and 211 partners for providing critical support to 211 making it
             possible for the non-profit organization to respond to disaster
             and crisis situations.

    WHY:     211 San Diego is recognized as a pioneer of 211 services across
             the country due to its technology and response practices.
             Qualcomm's support of resources allows 211 to be able to process
             the high volume of critically important calls in order to respond
             to disasters and crisis situations.

             Over the past year, 211 San Diego has seen an increase in calls
             from people looking for help due to their personal economic
             situation - whether they have lost a job, are struggling with
             foreclosure or eviction, need to find healthcare or are fighting
             just to put food on the table.

             Local supporters, legacy champions, past and potential funders
             and donors, partners, entrepreneurs, and fellow community
             agencies will be in attendance.
