2008 National Ergonomics Conference and Expo to Focus on Ways to Increase Productivity and Reduce Spending in the Workplace

NEW YORK, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The 14th Annual National Ergonomics Conference and Exposition (NECE) at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Dec. 2 - 5 will be attended by ergonomics, safety and other key decision makers representing national and international organizations, including: American Airlines, Bayer, CDC, ExxonMobil, Ford, GM, Intel, JetBlue, Kaiser Permanente, Mayo Clinic, Office Depot, Toyota, US Dept of Labor/OSHA, U.S. Army and hundreds more.

Registered attendees have selected from an expanded program that includes 89 distinctive educational opportunities, beginning with comprehensive full-day and half-day workshops on Dec. 2. Dec. 3 - 5 will feature a variety of 90-minute sessions over multiple tracks of conference programming, and ErgoSchool Lunch and Learn sessions that provide unique peer to peer exchanges over a three-course meal. This year marks the debut of four new tracks of conference programming geared toward those involved in workplace design and occupational health. These new tracks are coupled with the NECE's core educational topics of ROI, the aging workforce, safety, and ergonomics in office, industrial, service, and healthcare environments.

This year's program was developed with feedback from NECE Alumni after last year's event, and much consideration was paid to the current state of the business world. "Attendees told us that learning new ways to use ergonomics to improve productivity and efficiency, and boost their company's profitability are more important than ever in the current economic climate" noted Walter Charnizon, President of Continental Exhibitions, Inc. owners and producers of the NECE.
