87-Year-Old Man Orders 5-in-1 Vaccine for His Latest Litter of Puppies

RHINELANDER, Wis., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Since the 1920's in Illinois, Gene Bost, now of Joshua Tree, California, has been an avid animal lover, trainer and sportsman. During the depression, everyone needed to earn his keep and Gene's first dog was no exception. He would have to give his new faithful friend a purpose, and that was hunting. This began Gene's life long passion for breeding and training animals.

In celebration of their 25th Anniversary, Doctors Foster & Smith wanted to recognize the people and pets that contributed to their success. This was accomplished through a national photograph contest with over 60,000 entries and the recent acknowledgement of the 20,000,000th phone order. "We are pleased to have such a loyal customer to be our 20,000,000th phone order, a customer that has purchased products for close to 20 years," stated Gordon Magee, Drs. Foster & Smith Spokesman, he added "In talking with Gene, I found he possesses the same passion for good health and training for his pets that we find in most every customer. Plus, Gene stated he enjoys receiving our catalogs filled with valuable veterinarian advice and trusted pet supplies."

In learning more about Mr. Gene Bost, the Drs. Foster and Smith online team found that he was one of its first customers in the 1980's. Since that time, Gene has purchased vaccines and other pet supplies for his breeding facility; and just recently purchased the 5-in-1 vaccines for his newest litter of puppies. "I will not ship a puppy to a new owner without it being perfectly healthy," stated Gene Bost, of Copper Mountain Kennels, he adds "the price, convenience and reliability of Doctors Foster and Smith products has kept me coming back for years and I buy my vaccines exclusively from them. I am glad to have been the 20,000,000th phone order."
