17th Annual Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure(R) 5K Winners Announced

PITTSBURGH, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The winners of today's Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure(R) 5K are as follows:

1st Place Overall Winners

Male: Pat McGuire, Greensburg, Pa., 15:35

Female: Kaitlin Grimm, Penn Hills, Pa., 18:46

2nd Place Overall Winners

Male: Steven Strelick, 16:05

Female: Michelle Corkum, Pittsburgh, Pa., 18:58

3rd Place Overall Winners

Male: Charlie Ban, Pittsburgh, Pa., 16:13

Female: Christina Reck, Allison Park, Pa., 19:10

Survivor Category Winners

1st Place Survivor: Jennifer Bodnar, Candler, NC, 20:08

2nd Place Survivor: Ginny Ellwood, 21:56

3rd Place Survivor: Lisa Starvecic, Canonsburg, Pa., 24:17

Master Survivor (age 40-64): Lori Dunlap, Somerset, Pa., 24:23

Senior Survivor (65+): Roberta Klatzky, Pittsburgh, Pa., 29:38

5K Race Prizes

    First Place Finishers Male/Female:  Winners received a roundtrip
                                        plane ticket to any destination
                                        within the contiguous United States,
                                        courtesy of American Airlines.

    Survivor Winners:                   Prizes generously donated by Giant
                                        Eagle, the Pittsburgh Pirates, Dick's
                                        Sporting Goods and the Frick Art &
                                        Historical Center

First, second and third place winners in each category received game tickets courtesy of the Pittsburgh Pirates as well as certificates from local retailers, including Dick's Sporting Goods.

The 5K run began at 8:35 a.m. Runners started at Schenley Drive, traveled to Forbes Avenue and ran through Squirrel H
