‘Healthy Lifestyles and You’ Introduced by Nurse Clarice Ingraham
Date:11/4/2013

Nassau, Bahamas (PRWEB) November 05, 2013

New author and experienced nurse and midwife Clarice Ingraham was inspired to write this guide to healthy living after giving a lecture on healthy lifestyles to a women’s church convention. “Healthy Lifestyles and You” (published by AuthorHouse) specifically focuses on how to lower high maternal morbidity and mortality rates. The book covers topics like water treatment, balanced diets, exercise and the effects of different fruits and vegetables.

High maternal morbidity and mortality rates are of concern in the Bahamas. The National Center for Biotechnology Information stresses that maternal morbidity is “not necessarily life-threatening but can have a significant impact on the quality of life.” In her book, Ingraham shares her research on the causes and what can be done to lower maternal morbidity and mortality rates.

Through “Healthy Lifestyles and You” Ingraham argues that health education should begin at the primary school level, equipping young children with healthy lifestyle practices to eventually help control and lower the maternal morbidity and mortality rates universally.
