‘Baby Making’ Tips: What Women Need to Know When Trying to Conceive for Pregnancy Awareness Month
Date:5/2/2016

Pregnancy Awareness Month offers a great time to get familiar with the latest facts and tips when trying to conceive.

“If you are ready to have a baby, it’s best to get started before age becomes an issue,” says Dr. Mache Seibel. “My book, HealthChequesTM: Journal Babies is your Personal Conception & Pregnancy Organizer, written for women who plan on becoming pregnant to learn about the entire pregnancy process from conception to delivery, maximize chances of conception, and pinpoint the fertile days of the menstrual cycle. The month-by-month pregnancy calendar helps women record and organize the details of their pregnancy experience such as doctor appointments, special tests, and procedures.”

Here are simple things to consider:

1. Stop taking the pill three months before trying to conceive if you have been on it for less than a year, and six months prior if you have been on it for over a year.
2. Start taking FIRST RESPONSE™ Reproductive Health Multivitamin Gummies at least three months before trying to conceive. Its specially formulated to provide the essential nutrients women need when planning to get pregnant.
3. Know your ovulation cycle and discover your fertile time using an over the counter ovulation test like the First Response Digital Ovulation Test, it provides a clear “yes” or “no” so you’ll know exactly when to get busy.
4. Adjust your diet for optimal fertility. Incorporate fertility-boosting foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, fish, soy foods, and olive oil. Avoid trans-fats and partially hydrogenated oil, found in frosting and baked goods.
5. Make sure not to use traditional lubes as they can harm sperm. Try Pre-Seed Fertility-Friendly Lubricant to ease dryness and increase fun. It’s safe and creates an optimal environment for sperm motility.
6. Cut the caffeine and get a full eight hours of sleep. Women who consume about 2-5 cups of coffee per day cut their fertility by 12%. Enhance your mood and health by getting a full eight hours of sleep and soak up natural sun light 15-30 minutes a few times a week to generate Vitamin-D and help you sleep better.
7. When you think you may be pregnant try an over-the-counter pregnancy test like NEW FIRST RESPONSE™ Pregnancy PRO Digital Pregnancy Test & App Access, the first Bluetooth enabled pregnancy test that connects to your mobile app and provides a personalized user experience during the testing period and offers next steps towards your pregnancy journey.

“The sooner you can begin making healthy lifestyle changes including diet, nutrition and limiting your exposure to potential hazards, the better off you will be for yourself and your baby. Remember to eliminate stress and keep in mind that baby making takes time. Be patient and have fun,” adds Seibel.
