Transformation of Filamentous Fungi by Microprojectile Bombardment

method for transformation of intact Aspergillus conidia. A major advantage is that pre-treatment of cells prior to transformation is unnecessary. The conditions in Table 2 can be used as a starting point for optimizing transformation of other filamentous fungi. Additionally, particle bombardment can be an especially effective approach for transformation of obligately parasitic fungi that require transformation of intact cells.
