The LightCycler is the only System for Quantitative PCR that is as Flexible as
You are!

Choose the LightCycler PCR System, the only instrument flexible enough to meet your changing research needs. Central to the LightCycler System is the LightCycler Instrument which is much more than "Just another thermal cycler". It is a completely new integrated system with a revolutionary concept that allows you to perform PCR-analyses in exciting new ways.

The LightCycler is fast With the LightCycler 30 amplification cycles usually take less than 30 minutes! This makes the LightCycler the fastest thermal cycler in the world. Studies and complex experiments that used to take weeks can now be performed within hours or days.
The LightCycler is quantitative Using a unique built-in microvolume fluori-meterand specially developed fluorescent dyes, theamplification products are quantified every cycle in just 20 msec per capillary. The data are immediately transferred to a PC that allows you to monitor PCR kinetics on-line in real-time.
The LightCycler eliminates contamination risks Analysis of PCR-kinetics with a standard thermal cycler either requires multiple samples, which is labor and cost intensive, or multiple aliquots have to be taken from a tube increasing the risk of contamination. In the LightCycler amplification and quantification occurs in a tightly closed glass capillary that never needs to be opened. In addition, on-line detection with the LightCycler System replaces conventional post PCR processing and its multiple handling steps.
The LightCycler offers new analytical opportunities The LightCycler is not limited to amplification, measurement of PCR-kinetics and quantitation. It also allows you to do even more sophisticated analyses like the determination of melting curves and the detection of mutations.
The LightCycler is the thermal cycler for you! The LightCycler is not merely a thermal cycling machine, but an integrated system with reliable reagents, tested protocols, user-friendly software for on-line and off-line analyses, and first-class support. After comparing the features, applications, and exciting possibilities for the LightCycler instrument, we are sure you will agree that it is the thermocycler of choice. For further information, please visit our LightCycler website. We would also like to refer you to several recent Biochemica articles that provide detailed information about this innovative instrument. These articles are in Acrobat PDF format, and must be viewed, searched, and printed with version 3.0 or higher of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. Or while supply lasts, you can also order a printed copy of the Biochemica issue free of charge from your local representative.
