Agencourt offers a SNP discovery service for rapid and highly accurate identification of SNP loci. Our SeeSNP service is based on a targeted resequencing strategy and is fueled by our capacity to sequence over 20 million Phred20 bases a day. Features that set our service facility apart include:

    ASSAY DESIGN AND VALIDATION
    A notable strength of Agencourt is our extensive assay design and validation process. A suite of proprietary software tools is used to design amplification primers and develop an amplicon model spanning both coding and regulatory regions. Individual amplicon reactions are rigorously tested to validate assay robustness and specificity. Assays are optimized or redesigned if necessary.

    Our bioinformatics tools have proven to streamline amplicon modeling, reduce assay variability and improve amplicon success rates to greater than 90%.

    SNP IDENTIFICATION
    Resequencing of either a Coriell discovery panel or customer-provided samples is conducted following assay validation. Sequence data is compiled and undergoes quality analysis using both industry-standard and proprietary software packages. PolyPhred sequence analysis services are available to validate SNPs and identify insert/deletion and microsatellite repeats.
