The QIAamp DNA Blood BioRobot MDx Kit provides automated,
high-throughput DNA purification on the BioRobot
MDx using proven QIAamp technology. The fully automated procedure,
including bar code reading and complete process documentation, requires
less than 2.5 hours to process 96 samples (including a detailed load
check of 20 minutes) with no hands-on time during the run. The resulting
DNA performs well in downstream amplification and Southern blotting
assays (see figures "No PCR Inhibition"
and "Reliable Real-Time PCR"). Advantages
of the system include high process reliability and walkaway automation,
providing a highly efficient DNA purification system for clinical

A 1.2 kb fragment of the single-copy Hugl gene was amplified from
DNA purified with the QIAamp DNA Blood BioRobot MDx Kit, using HotStarTaq
DNA Polymerase in a 50 l reaction volume. No inhibition was
observed using either A 1 l of eluate or B 20

Reliable Real-Time PCR
The QIAamp DNA Blood BioRobot MDx Kit was used to purify genomic DNA
from 96 whole blood samples (each 200 l) collected from a single
donor. The -actin gene was amplified from the purified DNA
using the TaqMan system. An amplification plot of 96 PCR reactions
