Procedure

With QIAGEN Plasmid Kits, bacterial lysates are cleared by centrifugation and the cleared lysate is applied to the QIAGEN-tip for plasmid DNA purification. Eluted ultrapure DNA is recovered by isopropanol precipitation and centrifugation.

Applications

Plasmid DNA purified with QIAGEN Plasmid Kits is ideal for use in applications such as transfection cloning, manual or automated sequencing, including capillary sequencing, and in vitro transcription.
