Product overview

The kit contains heat-labile UNG which allows reliable removal of carry-over contaminants.

PCR-Grade Deoxynucleotides

Produce sensitive and consistent results with the newly developed PCR grade deoxy-nucleotides from Roche Applied Science. Improve performance and sensitivity in PCR and RT-PCR assays, even when analyzing low copy number targets. New production procedures eliminate dNTPs with modified bases, and tetra- and pyrophosphate contamination which often inhibit PCR and labeling reactions. Roche Molecular Biochemcals is the only supplier to function test each lot of dNTPs for RNase, DNase, and nicking activity.

PCR-Grade Water

Like all components of a PCR or RT-PCR assay, the water component must be of a high purity. Standard laboratory water is often contaminated with DNA, RNA or nucleases. These contaminants often contribute to suboptimal amplification reactions. This PCR-grade water is specially purified, deionized, double-distilled, and autoclaved. The unique production process also ensures that no detectable amounts of nucleic acids are included, as tested with conventional thermal cyclers and in highly sensitive assays with the LightCycler Instrument and related LightCycler kits. In addition, this water is guaranteed to be free of detectable endonucleases, ribonucleases and nicking activity.
