Platypus raises $1.2 million from private investors

Fitchburg, Wis. Platypus Technologies, a developer of a new platform technology using liquid crystals with applications in diagnostics, drug discovery and environmental monitoring, raised $1.2 million in its most recent round of investment. It was the firms third round.
