Milwaukee, Wis. Johnson Controls reported net income of $165 million for the quarter ending on December 31, down slightly from the $168 million it made in the same period a year ago.

That was despite earnings growth bolstered by quarterly sales of $7.5 billion, up from $6.6 billion a year ago, partly from acquisitions of York International and Delphi's battery business.
