FlexiPlate siRNA

NA antisense strand with the 3' untranslated region of mRNA (2). siRNA designs are analyzed for 3' UTR/seed region complementarity and siRNAs with the least potential to cause off-target effects are selected.

SNP avoidance
siRNA design is optimized to avoid all known single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) using the RefSNP database. This increases siRNA potency, as an siRNA spanning a SNP will vary in its effectiveness.

Interferon motif avoidance
siRNAs are screened for multiple sequence motifs known to result in an interferon response (3, 4). siRNAs with such motifs are rejected.

The complete solution for high-throughput RNAi
In addition to FlexiPlate siRNA, QIAGEN offers a comprehensive range of solutions for high-throughput RNAi. HiPerFect Transfection Reagent provides exceptionally high transfection efficiency using low siRNA concentrations, minimizing the risk of off-target effects and reducing costs, as less siRNA is used.

Rapid mRNA purification from large numbers of cell samples can be easily achieved using TurboCapture mRNA Kits which are ideal for high-throughput screening.

QuantiTect Primer Assays are ready-to-use primer sets for quantitative, real-time RT-PCR using SYBR Green based detection. They are available for every human and mouse gene. When used in combination with QuantiTect SYBR Green Kits, accurate and sensitive real-time RT-PCR is assured. Contact your QIAGEN sales representative or visit www.qiagen.com/siRNA for more information on these and other products for high-throughput RNAi to suit your needs.
