Ambion's Custom RNA Isolation Services
Ambion has developed a large inventory of the highest quality RNA from many different types of human, mouse, and rat tissues and cell lines (see Figure 1). However, many researchers require RNA samples that lie outside of the standard product offering. For this reason Ambion offers a Custom RNA Isolation Services Group to work directly with researchers and fulfill their specific RNA or RNA isolation needs. They can isolate RNA from tissue that you provide or can use their network of Tissue Procurement Partners to find the specific normal or diseased tissue samples required for your studies.

Optimized Protocols
Ambion's extensive experience with RNA isolation has led to the development of a variety of optimized protocols for sample collection and RNA isolation from different types of tissues (e.g. fibrous, high lipid content). These protocols result in maximum yield of the highest quality RNA. A number of Quality Control assays have been developed at Ambion to measure every aspect of RNA quality including intactness, stability, and purity. By working directly with you, Ambion's experienced staff members can determine the most appropriate and economical procedures for collection, isolation, and Quality Control to provide RNA that is ideally suited for your downstream application.

Ethical Tissue Procurement
Ambion is committed to maintaining the highest level of ethical standards in regards to all tissue that is used in the preparation of RNA and RNA-derived products. To this end Ambion has developed the Tissue Procurement Partners Program, featuring an extensive network of collaborators, to obtain human tissue specimens used to prepare Ambion's RNA products. Ambion continually monitors our Tissue Procurement Partners to ensure adherence to our policies and guidelines including the requirement that all tissue is obtained with consent from a fully informed donor or a member of the donor's family.
