Cingular expanding service in Wisconsin, Illinois

Madison, Wis. - As part of its $6 billion national effort, Cingular Wireless has announced plans to spend $400 million to extend coverage to customers in Wisconsin and Illinois.

This trend of additional spending for Wisconsin continues from 2005, when Cingular invested more $300 million in the state and activated more than 110 new cell sites between Illinois and Wisconsin.
