Bone Care bought for $600 million; Wisconsin Angel Network launches

Bone Care, a UW-Madison spinoff that develops a drug for kidney-disease patients, is being acquired for $600 million. The buyer? Massachusetts-based Genzyme, a multi-billion-dollar biotech.
