Biotech Investing Evaluating Risk!

The market for biotech stocks is on fire lately, with the 75 companies that are tracked in the NASDAQ Biotech Index up over 44 per cent, versus an 8 per cent gain for the Standard and Poors 500 Stock Index. Why is this happening, and are there sound business reasons behind the current run in biotech stock prices?
