iSirona Appoints John Cooper as Chairman of the Board

Panama City, Fla. (PRWEB) November 10, 2009 -- iSirona®, an innovative provider of data automation solutions for healthcare providers, today announced the appointment of John Cooper as Chairman of the Board, effective October 21, 2009. He replaces Chairman Dave Dyell, iSirona's founder, who will continue to serve as the company's CEO and retains a seat on the board.

Cooper is the former executive vice president of North American sales for SunGard Availability Services, where he led a sales team of 500 personnel. As executive vice president of sales and marketing and corporate officer at Eclipsys Corporation, Cooper grew revenues from $309 million to $428 million in three years, achieving a 24% year-over-year growth in new business sales. Prior to Eclipsys, Cooper was responsible for growing sales at Shared Medical Systems for more than 12 years, where he served as a corporate vice president and general manager of Healthcare Data Exchange and Internet Strategies.
