iLab Solutions Conducts Its Third Annual Core Facility Benchmarking Study

Core facility management software company, iLab Solutions, opened its 3rd annual Benchmarking Study. The purpose of the study is to provide research administration an understanding of best practices and trends in core facility growth and utilization.

Previous studies represented over 40 different types of core facilities, recharge centers, shared resources or other similar facilities from over 75 institutions across the world. Included on this list are Flow Cytometry, Microscopy, Animal and Stem Cell facilities. The past studies revealed a number of strong patterns, which have been referenced at core facility conferences and meetings, on listservs, and most recently in an article published by the Journal of Biomolecular Techniques. http://jbt.abrf.org/index.cfm/page/jbt_toc.htm

“As a leader in core facility management software, we work closely with our customer partners to develop software to meet their needs. Through our collaborations we have discovered best practices and trends across the globe,” said, iLab CEO, Tad Fallows. “We believe formally gathering and sharing this industry data will help facilitate continued health in the research core facility community.”

iLab offers the summary of results free of charge on the iLab website. The third annual Benchmarking Study results will be available in the summer of 2013.
