The winning medical titles from Elsevier are:
- Color Atlas of Clinical Hematology, 4th edition by A. Victor Hoffbrand, John E. Pettit, and Paresh Vyas won first prize in the BMA Internal Medicine category. This book is regarded as one of the best hematology atlases on the market. Purchasers of the text are also given access to the online content, which includes a vast image bank of 2,700 images, with 2,100 in full color. Professor Hoffbrand said of the award, "The award recognises the tremendous effort of all three Authors in assembling such a vast collection of high quality images and the expertise of the Publishers in presenting them so magnificently.
