Western Blot CRO Launches Automated WES Protein Analysis and Protein Expression Services
Date:9/3/2014

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Western Blot Service CRO, a biology contract research organization based in Austin, Texas, announced today that it is consolidating its years of expert research experience in protein expression into a new service capability, to use a WES automated protein expression system (http://www.westernblotservice.com).

Western Blot Service CRO is a division of Altogen Labs (http://www.altogenlabs.com) that will take advantage of the fundamental expertise Altogen Labs has developed in protein analysis and expression of proteins in mammalian cells, hybridomas and bacteria. The new division will provide contract protein expression laboratory work and automated protein expression analysis services.

While detection of protein targets with the WES system is similar to conventional Western Blot analysis, the WES system uses processes of protein fractionation, immobilization and immunodetection that are completely automated and provides quantitative analysis of protein expression.

Automated Western Blot WES system provide reproducible analysis of samples containing protein targets in various sample types, including lysates prepared from tissue, and cultured cells or processed samples such as immunoprecipitations, GST-pull downs or protein purification processes.

Protein expression has been a cornerstone of biomedical research for decades, method is used in the manufacture of monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and in myriad research applications that include studies of cell signaling, protein folding and gene silencing.

Western Blot protein expression and WES analysis CRO services offer a complete platform to conduct protein expression studies from start to finish. These include establishing stable cell lines, ELISA, transfection with the desired genes, analysis of clones for the expression level, and quantification of protein production. These laboratory research services are performed by experienced personnel in a GLP regulatory-compliant facility, with applications both in research and in clinical settings.
