WellCentive Launches New Health Information Exchange Platforms
Date:12/11/2008

ATLANTA, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- WellCentive (http://www.wellcentive.com) today announced the launch of two new health care information technology (HIT) solutions designed to efficiently, securely and cost-effectively share patient data within a community of health care providers. WellCentive Gateway allows providers, such as physicians, to easily access patient data from a variety of outside HIT systems. WellCentive Connect is a health care technology platform which receives data from a variety of community HIT systems and can forward it to physicians, insurance companies and other authorized parties.

"The sharing and exchange of patient data within a community is often complicated and costly, and these barriers adversely affect patient care," said Paul Taylor, M.D., WellCentive co-founder, CEO and medical director. "WellCentive Gateway and WellCentive Connect bring cost-effective, community-wide solutions to the health care system, and break down the barriers to sharing and exchanging health care data. Our secure, community-oriented solutions provide a great deal of value to all of the health care stakeholders within a community."

-- WellCentive Gateway is a health care Single Sign-On (SSO) portal, which
allows physicians and their staff to access multiple HIT systems using
a single user ID and password. Once logged in, the user can easily
access patient information from a variety of outside systems, such as
hospital systems and labs. The user can also be automatically
authenticated directly into other systems providers may use on a daily
basis, such as e-prescribing systems and electronic medical records
       (EMRs).

-- WellCentive Connect is a cross-platform health care interface engine,
which receives data in any format from a variety of HIT systems and
