Webcast - Natural Language Processing: Converting Raw Data into Actionable Knowledge – Hosted by Carahsoft and CDS Federal Services
Date:1/14/2014

Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 14, 2014

Carahsoft and CDS Federal Services have scheduled a webcast session for Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2pm EST (11am PST), “Natural Language Processing: Converting Raw Data into Actionable Knowledge.” The topic focuses on how technology can turn raw, heterogeneous data into actionable knowledge to drive mission critical decisions for government agencies. The online webinar will last approximately one hour.

Synopsis: Big Data has become an obstacle for government entities. Combine data volumes, velocity, and variety with the limited manpower available and it is virtually impossible to identify the information needed to support critical initiatives without automated analytical applications. Adam Wright Strayer, Director of Advisory Services for CDS Federal Services, will discuss analytical tools being developed and utilized today to assist government entities in their efforts to extract knowledge from Big Data. He will explain Natural Language Processing (NLP), the technology that has become the foundation for in-depth analysis of textual data and will present some of today's most advanced tools, such as:

  •     Conceptual Searching
  •     Clustering
  •     Categorization
  •     Keyword Suggestions
  •     Predictive Relevance

The webcast is complementary at no cost, but qualified registration is required. To register for the January 23rd event, participants should visit http://www.cdsfederal.com/nlpwebinar.
