Technology

RESTON, Virginia, February 12 /PRNewswire/ -- WCC Smart Search & Match, a leading provider of high-performance search and match software, today announced its collaboration with Retica Systems, a leader in providing innovative eye biometric technology for identification and authentication. Retica has developed both fast and accurate iris and retina matching algorithms and visionary hardware for capturing eye biometrics in the field and on the move. The collaboration will provide enhanced identification and authentication for WCC's ELISE ID - The Platform for Multi-Modal Fusion.

ELISE ID is capable of searching vast amounts of data - both biographic and complex biometric data - to deliver meaningful, ranked results extremely quickly. ELISE ID optimizes identity searching using advanced technologies to calculate similarities and rank results, allowing for true score-level fusion. ELISE ID's platform will incorporate Retica's eye biometrics to enhance its capabilities for multi-factor identification.

"Our collaboration with Retica provides an enhanced multi-modal search and match platform well suited to difficult environments where identification accuracy and speed are key for ensuring security," said Peter Went, CEO of WCC.

"Retica's image capture systems and identification algorithms capture and process an enormous amount of information. The ELISE ID platform handles that information with ease and provides end-users with an unparalleled level of control over an ever growing array of identification options." said Barry Morse, CEO at Retica. "We are excited to work with WCC Smart Search & Match to create a truly multi-modal platform for identification that can meet real world security challenges."
