VivoMetrics(R) Appoints Howard R. Baker as New President and Chief Executive Officer

VENTURA, Calif., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- VivoMetrics Inc., a provider of leading edge non-invasive vital function monitoring, announced the appointment of Howard R. Baker to the position of president and chief executive officer. Mr. Baker succeeds Paul Kennedy, who will remain with the company in the role of executive vice president.

Mr. Baker joins VivoMetrics with over 28 years in leadership roles: developing global markets, commercializing products and services and helping pioneer adoption of innovative technologies. Prior to joining VivoMetrics, Mr. Baker served 10 years in senior management positions at Medtronic Corporation, the Fortune 500 global leader in medical device technologies, within the emergency response systems, cardiac surgery and diabetes businesses. Over the previous 11 years, he served in executive and senior leadership positions at Positron Corporation, a pioneer in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging technologies, and Fonar Corporation, an innovator and supplier of magnetic resonance imaging devices and services. Mr. Baker began his career in sales at leading health care companies including Space Labs, CR Bard and Abbott Labs.
