Varian, Inc. Announces Online Experience
Date:1/12/2009

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Varian, Inc. (NasdaqGS: VARI) has announced that it will host a unique online event involving the breadth and depth of its solutions for analytical and research applications as an alternative to participating as a booth exhibitor at Pittcon(R)2009.

Varian recognizes the growing trend toward gathering information online. And while the current economy may lead even fewer people to travel significant distances to attend trade shows, individuals and institutions still need solutions for their analytical challenges. Varian will offer those individuals an engaging and informative online experience separate from its website. It will involve the full range of customers and applications for which Varian offers a solution.

In addition to information about solutions, the online experience will have daily updates, special offers, and webcasts featuring Varian consumables, instruments and services.

"Varian is taking advantage of this online event to be creative in how we deliver information to our customers," said Martin O'Donoghue, Senior Vice President, Scientific Instruments, Varian, Inc. "In addition to helping customers think differently about how to approach their analytical problems, the online experience will give a view into Varian's commitment to innovations that positively affect the lives of people around the world everyday."

For more technical information about Varian products and to reach the new online event as soon as it is available, please visit http://www.varianinc.com.
