Southfield, MI (PRWEB) April 25, 2013 is helping test and measurement equipment dealers save time and increase sales with its new ‘Wanted-List System’ that automatically matches requests for equipment with available dealer inventory. Dealer wanted-lists emailed to the system and end-user wanted-ads posted on the Used-Line website both generate alerts sent to equipment dealers worldwide.

Due to the commodity nature of used Test Equipment, there is large volume of dealer-to-dealer trade in the industry. Dealers customarily receive dozens of wanted-list emails a day from other dealers. These lists can be time-consuming and tedious to review. The Used-Line Wanted-List System alleviates the problem and creates new opportunities for test equipment dealers.

This is how it works.

Dealers with an urgent need for specific models of test equipment can email their ‘wanted lists’ to The Used-Line Wanted-List System scans the list, compares it against available dealer inventories and notifies sellers when there is a match. The inventory information is private; the wanted lists can be seen by other dealers. As an added benefit, end-users may also post wanted-ads on These end-user wanted-ads are also channeled into the Wanted-List System, and generate alerts sent to Used-Line dealers.

Dealers seeking to sell equipment can upload an inventory list to the Used-Line Wanted-List System. When there is a hit—when a wanted ad or list comes in that matches a seller’s inventory—the seller is notified and can quickly send a quote to purchasing dealers, including the ability to attach files and photos. During the beta phase of the Used-Line Wanted-List System, there is no charge for uploading inventory or sending wanted lists.

Dealers receive notifications by email digest and can send a quote to buyers directly from the email alerts or they can contact the buyer by phone or other means.

Used-Line wanted-ads are only visible to dealers, are not displayed on the Used-Line website and do not show up in Used-Line search results. Wanted lists and wanted ads are consolidated into one list that can be viewed by dealers who access the Want List System. Dealers can search the list by model, check requests against their own inventory and make offers on the spot.
