UniCare Unveils Community Resource Center in Topeka to Serve Medicaid Enrollees
Date:8/22/2007

American Red Cross and flood victims to assist in clean-up and restoration efforts in response to the devastating floods that affected thousands of families in Kansas. The WellPoint Foundation is the charitable giving arm of WellPoint, Inc., the parent company of UniCare. Earlier this year, the WellPoint Foundation donated $30,000 to the Great Plains Health Alliance Foundation to aid in recovery efforts following the aftermath of the Greensburg tornado.

"It is gratifying to know the efforts to rebuild Greensburg are not forgotten," said Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. "This generous donation is a timely and important boost to the spirits of Kansans. We are also grateful for the financial assistance for flood victims and are confident these dollars will be put to good use assisting our fellow Kansans."
